Boyd has led a national
campaign to elect women to the U.S. presidency—and
positions in the pipeline to the presidency—since
2000.
For the 2008 presidential election, Boyd announced American Women Presidents’
endorsement of Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton and
Republican Secretary of State for president at Drake
University in Des Moines, Iowa on President's Day in
2006.
For the
2004 presidential election, Boyd worked to recruit
Democratic and Republican women to run
for president. Boyd helped to launch Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun’s
presidential campaign at media events in Iowa, New
Hampshire and South Carolina on President’s Day
weekend in 2003. She also helped kicked-off the Braun
campaign on C-SPAN’s The Road to the White House.
